The United States is among the leading countries worldwide that were hit hard by the pandemic, both in terms of economic losses as well as in the unemployment rate (Richter, 2020). Even though Sweden and the USA have a proportionally similar number of cases by their population size, Sweden seems to better manage its economy and unemployment.
